Which system report style should I choose?

PastAndFutureWithRecurringDemand is probably the best one to start with, as it gives you a quick summary of the results that are usually most important.

ExpandCalculations is the one to go for if you want all the detail. It lays out (nearly) everything that Planner works out, in an order that helps to illustrate how the calculations work.

CapacityDetail is there if you particularly want lots of detail about capacity but not much else, for instance if you are working out detailed templates for clinics and theatres, as well as beds.

If none of these deliver exactly what you want, you can use the Report Style Manager to take a copy of the one that comes closest, and then customise it to your exact requirements:

a) from the main Planner menu, click the orange book icon below “Edit report/chart styles”;
b) find the system report style that you would like to edit, and duplicate it using the icon on the right;
c) locate the duplicate under “Your Report Styles”, and click the “Configure report style” icon beside it;
d) edit it, by deleting rows you don’t want, rearranging rows, and adding rows using the controls above the table and clicking Next to save each new row.
